New South Wales

First State

New South Wales (New South Wales, abbreviated as: NSW) is located in southeast Australia, the Pacific Ocean to the east, Queensland to the north and Victoria to the south. It is the earliest British colony in Australia and the largest population in Australia. The highest level of industrialization and urbanization in the state, with the capital city of Sydney.

New South Wales can be divided into coastal lowlands, great watershed and western plain. Mineral resources, forest resources, tourism resources are rich, with one of the world's largest natural port Sydney Port. Agriculture and animal husbandry are well developed and agricultural and livestock products play an important role in Australia. There are many industrial sectors, iron and steel industry is the most prominent, machinery manufacturing, textile industry and so on are very developed.

In addition, the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and the capital city of Canberra, are all geographically located in New South Wales.
