Geelong

Introduction of Geelong

Located in the south of Victoria, about 75 kilometers from Melbourne (Melborune), the capital of Victoria, Geelong is Victoria's second largest city and can be reached directly by train from Melbourne.

Geelong used to be an important industrial city, full of chimneys, haze and PM2.5, after decades of hard work to transform, finally restored the beautiful scenery of blue sea and blue sky. Geelong are known as Ocean Road (Great Ocean Road) as Melbourne's back garden, where 95% of visitors are bound to pass by Geelong from the starting point of Ocean Road's self-driving route. The perfect location makes it possible to have countless visitors or special trips each year, and the Geelong itself is beautiful. As a seaside city, Geelong also has a quiet, dreamy coastline, and if there is plenty of time, it is worth a little stay in the Geelong.

Geelong most famous scenic spot is Geelong painted puppet (Geelong Baywalk Bollards), the coast of the Geelong is scattered with more than 100 beautiful dolls made by artists Jan Mitchell hand, each behind the story of special, the need for travelers to have enough feet and eyes to not miss oh! Along the coastline, there are about a hundred wooden men of all kinds, large and small, on different themes, but these wooden men were originally wooden tethers of ships, and later used by artists as canvas, so all kinds of wooden people were born. One is to commemorate a couple during World War II, but also a volunteer infantry band, are very bright colors, each has its own characteristics, I believe tourists come here to take photos. The National Wool Museum (National Wool Museum) is also a place for Geelong to visit.

The Southern Cross Station (Southern Cross Station) in downtown Melbourne is directly accessible on the Melbourne Geelong Line (Melbourne -Geelong) Geelong, it takes about 50 minutes one way.
