Gawler

Introduction of Gawler

Located within (Barossa Valley), South Australia's most famous wine-producing region, Gawler is about 55 kilometers by car from downtown Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, and the gateway to Baroosa Valley from Adelaide, the largest town in Baroosa Valley.

Gawler has a long history, is the first town in South Australia, was founded by British colonists, except Adelaide, the only well-planned town, unlike Adelaide, the heart of Gawler is a triangle rather than a square. This is determined by the topography of Gawler. Gawler retains a large number of Victorian historical buildings, the town is not beautiful but also has its own flavor, in addition, as the largest town in the Barossa Valley, it is commercially developed, supermarkets, restaurants, Fast-food restaurants and other business facilities are complete, and many tourists and tour groups visiting Barossa Valley will use Gawler as a stop on their way, or visit or dine, making Gawler a busy tourist season.

There is a train line (GAWC) connecting Gawler to Adelaide Railway Station (Adelaide Railway Station), which is located on Adelaide's North main Street, (North Terrace), in about an hour.
