As the outbreak erupted in the new state, the governor of the new state, Gladys Berejiklian, warned that the state would impose further blockade measures if the health sector did not see a sustained decline in confirmed cases. "If the situation does not change as a result of the actions we took earlier this week, I will have to go further. At that time we were quite pleased with what we had done. "

The governor added :" I just want everyone to be prepared without undue worry or panic. people just understand that the new state government go further if necessary because it is in the public safety interest. "

At the same time, she reminded residents of the state that government was planning to use mobile tracking technology to help detect violators, similar to the Singapore model. She also reiterated that people should not hold social gatherings at home, except with close relatives.
