Toyota has once again become the most beloved brand in Australia after the 2019 all-Australian auto sales report.

The Herald Sun reported on Saturday that Toyota once again became the most popular brand among Australians, selling more than 205,000 in 2019. The best-selling car was again Toyota HiLux (sold 47649), which convincingly beat long-time rival Ford Ranger (sold 40,960). The third-best-selling vehicle was Toyota Corolla (sold 30,468), which sold more than Hyundai i30(sold 28,378), Mitsubishi Triton (sold 25,819).The CX-5 was once again the preferred choice for Australian families as the best-selling SUV with 25,539. Mazda 3 sold 24939, ranking seventh. Top 8 to 10 bestsellers are Toyota RAV 4(24,260 sold), Toyota LandCruiser (23,024 sold) and Kia Cerato (21,757 sold).

For the 2019 car sales rankings, Toyota`s president Matthew Callachor praised the brand`s rising market share in a tough market and was confident of how it would fare over the coming year. "Our market share of 20 per cent or more in the past six months and 18 per cent or more four times since then provides a degree of consistency that gives confidence to consumers and our dealers, and our forecasts for sustained low interest rates and slightly strong economic growth have given us cautious optimism about the coming year," he said. "

In addition, in 2019, the Australian new car market has reached its lowest total sales since 2011. In 2019, all brands sold 1062,8.67 million new cars, down nearly 8%from 2018. Tony Weber, chairman of the Federal Automobile Industry Association, said buyers were away from dealers for many reasons. 2019 was a tough year for Australian economic with challenges including tightening loans, exchange rate fluctuations, slow growth, and of course, of course, the extreme environmental factors the country is experiencing.

The most popular brands in 2019 are ranked as follows (ranking in order): Toyota, Mazda, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Ford, Kia, Nissan, Volkswagen, Honda and Horton.
