Although the storm that hit the eastern coast of the new state has moved north today and bad weather conditions have eased, some of the towns that suffered the worst flooding in nearly 30 years are still trapped.

Floods on the southern coast began to fall this afternoon, and the low-pressure system that brought torrential rain swept north and hunt (Hunter), but not as fierce as it was when it hit the southern coast, the central coast and parts of sydney over the weekend. However, residents of the southern and central coasts and greater sydney were warned against destructive strong winds and seashore waves, and there could still be some light rain.

Along the southern coast, the shallow water of the Paradise River (Shoalhaven River) is the most flooded, with some communities on the shore suffering the worst flooding in nearly 30 years. Moreover, the floods caused by heavy rain in the snow river (Snowy Rivers), the Diya (Deua) area, the St. George Basin (St Georges Basin) and the Montangro (Molonglo) area have not completely subsided, and the relevant departments continue to warn the local residents of safety.

Although the shallow water paradise river near nora town (Nowra) has passed and slowly fallen, the water level is still high this afternoon.

At the weekend, the New State Emergency Service (SES) received nearly 1,700 calls from residents affected by storms and floods, of which about 700 were from the southern coast and 500 from Greater Sydney.

Emergency workers dispatched more than 40 rescue operations over the weekend, including the rescue of livestock and other animals at risk of flooding, and a large number of emergency operations involved helping to repair roofs damaged by storms and cleaning up fallen trees and trunks.
